Tara was born and raised in California before moving to Boulder, Colorado for school (Sko Buffs!). After earning her degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, she spent a year researching coral reef conservation before discovering her passion for veterinary medicine. Over the past seven years, she has immersed herself in nearly every part of the field, from assistant and technician roles to front-desk support, general practice and emergency, and eventually management. Tara’s greatest professional passion is finding creative solutions that enhance patient care and improve the clinic experience for both pets and their people.

At home, Tara has two dogs: Ranger, a spunky pit bull who runs the household, and Leyna, a scaredy shepherd mix. As well as a cat she adopted from Tender Touch! In her free time, Tara skis (enthusiastically, not expertly), spent quality time with friends, and her and her pups explore Denver’s many parks and unwind with Ranger’s favorite show, Gilmore Girls. She’s thrilled to continue supporting both pets and pet parents with Tender Touch!
