Dr. Ken Klingman was born in Palo Alto, California but was fortunate enough to spend most of his formative years growing up in Colorado Springs. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from San Jose State University and for the next decade, worked in both chemical and pharmaceutical research. It was during this period he developed first an interest and then a passion for veterinary medicine. Returning to school, he earned his DVM from Colorado State University in 1995. Upon graduating, he worked in several private practices before opening his own practice in 1998. He managed this practice for 18 years before moving to Denver in 2016. He has been with Tender Touch Animal Hospital as a part time and relief veterinarian since 2017!

His professional interests include small animal medicine and pharmacology, multimodal pain management, and geriatric care. Outside of work, Ken enjoys spending time with his wife, Gale, and their 3 dogs- Dugan, Mayzie, and Fiona. His favorite pastimes include spending time hiking in the San Juans, yoga, playing his guitar and listening to live music.
