Hello! Meet Dr. Briana Howard. While her father was in the Air force, she predominately grew up in Alaska. This is actually what drove her to come to Denver, CO, as she missed the mountains.  She is an associate veterinarian here at Tender Touch Animal Hospital. Her undergraduate degree (Wildlife ecology) was performed at Washington State University. She, then, had the wonderful opportunity to study in the Caribbean at St. George School of Veterinary Medicine, class of 2023. Unfortunately, halfway through COVID occurred and they kicked her off the island. Despite this she was able to put in the work and get creative about learning. Her interests tend to fluctuate depending on the day – however she does find joy in getting to know the people and the clients. She likes working together to come up with a solution to fit each individual's family.

She has been at Tender Touch since graduation and has the most passionate clients and co-workers. Her family consists of 4 cats and a human partner. They enjoy spending a cozy day off together (with her fighting the cats about consuming the yarn during crochet sessions). She fights the daily urge to order snacks from DoorDash and loves a good rainstorm (with a book!). She has a diverse set of interests and, depending on the weather, loves both outdoor activities and indoor activities. Recently she started a small book club with a couple of friends.
