Vacination Protocol
The vaccines commonly available are those which protect against rabies, feline leukemia virus, feline "distemper" (a combination of upper respiratory diseases), and feline infectious peritonitis.
- FVRCP: 8 and 12 weeks of age, then every three years
- Rabies: 16 weeks of age, one year later, then every three years
- Leukemia: ONLY in high risk cats (go outdoors and get bite wounds). Given at 8 and 12 weeks, then annually
NO OTHER VACCINES ARE GIVEN TO CATS.**
