Lauren is our happy bundle of energy at Tender Touch. Her friends sometimes call her Meshugeneh, her favorite phrase is “right on” and her least favorite word is “clammy”. Lauren was born in Akron, Ohio and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A crazy thing that Lauren once did was to take her high school’s Iguana that was being abused and malnourished, which is in line with the ideals of her hero, Steve Irwin. Lauren earned her CVT from Bel Rea, and a BS from the University of Denver. She has two cats, one dog, a snake, a lizard, a sugar glider and a husband (just one). Her favorite thing about being a veterinary technician is the animals, especially assisting in caesarian sections because she likes helping a 180 pound Mastiff deliver cute, tiny puppies. The saying that exemplifies Lauren’s life is “I will try anything twice”.
