Kelley Willis, Certified Veterinary Technician

It was only after a first career in the airline industry that Kelley pursued her passion for animals and became a Certified Veterinary Technician. She graduated from Bel Rea institute of technology in 2004, and since then has worked in both a small animal hospital and in the critical care unit at the University of Missouri. We are lucky to have such an experience technician on our team.

Kelley is outgoing until it comes to talking about herself, but we did learn a few things to share with you. Her friends call her Willis, and her Dad calls her “Bones”. She was born and raised in a small town in Illinois and then she became a city girl. Her hero is her running shoes (we hope she isn’t afraid to throw her hero away now and again), her favorite word is “Homes”, and her least favorite word is “can’t”. The saying that exemplifies her is “Life is short, play hard”. As a crazy Kansas City Chiefs’ fan, Kelley once became very frustrated at their performance and actually called directory assistance asking for Dick Vermeil’s cell phone number so she could yell at him on the sidelines. For some reason it was unlisted. Kelley is a runner, and she recently ran a half marathon up Pikes Peak Mountain and lived to tell about it.
