Hilary Ward, Certified Veterinary TechnicianHilary Ward, Certified Veterinary Technician

Hilary's friends are lazy, so her nickname is just plain Hil. She was born and raised in Alaska (Mc Grath), and her mother is her hero. After attending the University of Alaska at Anchorage Hilary went to Bel Rea School of Veterinary Technology and she is currently taking pre-veterinary requirements at Metro State College-Denver.

Hilary shares her home with three kitties (Eeyore, Goldberg and Rosie), a French Angora Rabbit named Patrick, and a dog named Rex. "Go with the flow" is her favorite saying, please is her favorite word, and limp is her least favorite. Interacting with people who feel the same way about animal welfare as she does is her favorite part of her job.

The craziest thing she ever did was really an accident--she set a building on fire by overloading an incinerator. When not putting out fires Hilary is preparing for veterinary school and she intends to become an exotic animal veterinarian. She has had practice, for in Alaska she ran a hedgehog rescue organization!
